OUR LOVING FOUNDER

St Louis Grignion De Montfort was born on 31st January, 1673 popularly known as Montfort. He cradled himself as the disciple of Mother Mary as he grew.

He was empathized when witnessed the pathetic condition of the destitute and the poor. His apostolic motto ‘GOD ALONE’ has crossed the oceans as his actions were in congruence with his words in his love and service towards humanity.

Being a scholar, powerful orator, sculptor, painter and poet makes him a master of several arts but always the servant of the Divine grace.  His is still an icon of such lasting creativity of mind and spirituality of soul that still renews and rejuvenates the spirit of every Montfortian even today.

Though he breathed his last to be one with the Almighty on 28thApril, 1716, he is present in the vision, motto and mission of the Congregation of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Priests of the Company of Mary and Daughters of Wisdom
